The Gotika website consists of 2 parts: The portal site where you are now and the shop itself. In this part of the site you will find information regarding our company, the workings of the site and a page with frequently asked questions (FAQ). Many questions are probably already answered on these pages. Please use our information form for any remaining inquiries.

The button with the shopping cart will take you to the shop.

The Gotika logo in the top-left corner functions as the home-button, it will take you back to the start page of the site. And is also used to switch back from the shop to this part of the site.

Navigation inside the shop is basically self-explanatory (we will briefly touch upon some aspects in a bit) but you can always rely on the so-called 'breadcrumb trail' (see picture).

The breadcrumb trail is your guide throughout the shop, it shows you where you are at any given moment. In the example above you are on the productpage of article number '1010' of sub group 'Tops' of the article group 'Clothing'. All steps in between are clickable and can be used for navigation. A click on 'Home' brings you back to the start page of the shop.

On the left-side of your screen you will find a number of handy boxes. The first box (see picture) is used for navigating through our range of articles. A click on an article group will have the sub groups appear. These groups are also displayed in the center of your screen. The different groups will bring you to the articles we sell. From that point things are self-explanatory.

The remaining boxes are recognized by their icon:

This box offers a quick view of the contents of your shopping cart and the total amount. Handy as a small reminder. Use the link at the top-right to jump to the actual shopping cart where you can change your order (more on this later).

The eye says it all, this box offers you a glimpse at other articles in our assortment that you may not have noticed yet. By clicking on the photo or the name of the article you will be taken to the productpage, where you will find more information.

Since Gotika has many customers in the United Kingdom and the USA, we offer them the possibility to shop in their own currency. Using this menu you can change from Euro's to Pounds or US Dollars.

Naturally our shop also offers a search-facility. Using this box you can do a quick search on a certain word or article number, it is also possible to opt for an advanced search, where you can search specifically in article groups or even on product prices.

At the top-right you will find a number of important links in our shop:

When you already have an account at Gotika, the 'Log in' link will take you to a screen where you can access your account data using your e-mail address and password. On this 'My account' page you can alter your personal data, change your password, manage the addressbook and check your order history. Here you can see the status of previous orders as well as your current ones.

If you don't have an account with us yet, you can sign up on the 'Create account' page. We've listed the advantages of having an account on this same page. As soon as you place an order, we need your personal data and an account is automatically created for you, but it is possible to sign up regardless.

The 'Shopping cart' link brings you to a detailed overview of the articles you put in your cart (see picture).

As soon as you add an article to the shopping cart this overview automatically appears. Here you can change the quantity of the articles you are ordering, but also remove an article from the cart again. After making the change please press the 'Update cart' button. If you prefer to continue shopping then please click the appropiate link. The 'To check-out' button explains itself (alternatively you can also use the link at the top-right).

If you're already logged in you will automatically be switched to the check-out screens, otherwise you either have to log in first or fill in your personal data (if you don't have an account at Gotika yet).

Checking out your order is a very simple process. First of all the shipping costs for your order and the shipping address are displayed, you are also given the oppertunity to enter an alternative address (or to select one from your addressbook).

The next step is selecting your prefered method of payment.

The final screen shows which articles you have ordered, the costs involved and more information on the method of payment. The only action left on your part, is to confirm the order by clicking the button on your bottom-right.

You are then shown a confirmation-screen so that you know your order has been received by us and is being processed. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail containing all the information with regards to the order. In this message you will also find the order number and instructions on how to pay.
